Al Hilal Secures Abderrazak Hamdallah on Loan for Club World Cup Campaign

KSAsportz report

ORLANDO — Al Hilal has officially secured Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah on a short-term loan from Al Shabab to enhance their attacking lineup during the ongoing 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

This transfer comes as the Riyadh club navigates significant injuries in their frontline, particularly the absence of Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrović, who has not appeared in the tournament, along with team captain Salem Al-Dawsari, who will miss the rest of the competition due to a hamstring injury sustained in the group stage.

Hamdallah joined Al Hilal’s training camp in Orlando on Wednesday and is anticipated to participate in the team’s afternoon practice later today, as they prepare for their quarter-final showdown following an incredible 4-3 victory over Manchester City in the Round of 16.

The 33-year-old forward brings a wealth of experience from the Saudi Pro League, having initially come to the Kingdom with Al Nassr in 2018, later transferring to Al Ittihad, and most recently playing for Al Shabab.

He is recognized as one of the league’s most prolific goal scorers, currently ranking second on the all-time goal-scoring list, just behind Syrian striker Omar Al Somah.

Hamdallah’s inclusion provides Italian coach Simone Inzaghi with a crucial attacking option as Al Hilal aims to advance their remarkable Club World Cup journey.
