AL QASSIM — In a dominant display, Al Ahli decisively defeated Al Arabi 5-0, advancing to the last 16 of the King’s Cup. This commanding win was witnessed at King Abdullah Sports City in Buraidah, marking Al Ahli’s fifth consecutive victory in the tournament.

The reigning Asian champions showcased their prowess early in the match, as the tie was shifted to accommodate their upcoming participation in the Intercontinental Cup, allowing them to retain momentum.

Star striker Ivan Toney was the standout player, claiming the Man of the Match title with a remarkable hat-trick. The England international opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 31st minute, increased his tally with a stunning free kick in the 82nd minute, and capped off his performance with another penalty in stoppage time.

French playmaker Enzo Millot also contributed to the scoreline with a spectacular free kick, while Saudi winger Fahad Al Rashidi netted the fourth goal midway through the second half, contributing to Al Ahli’s impressive 65% possession and registering 15 shots on target.

With this victory, Al Ahli not only secured their spot in the next round but also demonstrated their formidable attacking capabilities, scoring a total of 18 goals in their last three matches, solidifying their position as favorites in the competition.
