The 2026 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 April in Jeddah, has been postponed, according to a joint confirmation by Formula 1 and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile.
The race, set to be held at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, will no longer take place on its original dates due to what officials described as “ongoing regional developments.” No revised date has yet been announced.
In an official statement, the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and the Saudi Motorsport Company confirmed their respect for the decision, while stating that Saudi Arabia had been fully prepared to host the event following five previously completed Formula 1 race weekends in the Kingdom.
The statement also emphasized that existing safety and security measures remain in place, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of citizens, residents, and international visitors.
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has been a regular fixture on the Formula 1 calendar since its debut in 2021, forming part of the championship’s Middle East segment. Previous editions have drawn significant attendance and global broadcast audiences.
Organizers advised ticket holders and fans to follow official Saudi Arabian Grand Prix communication channels for updates regarding rescheduling, refunds, or future event planning.
No further operational details, including a new race date or calendar adjustments, have been confirmed by Formula 1 at this stage.
