NAGOYA, JAPAN — Saudi national team and Al-Hilal Club athlete Omar Nada won the gold medal in the men’s -94kg jiu-jitsu category at the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.
Nada secured the first-place finish after defeating South Korea’s Park Sunghu via submission in the final contest. According to an official statement released by Al-Hilal FC on October 1, 2026, the victory marks the first gold medal won by a Saudi athlete in the sport of jiu-jitsu in the history of the Asian Games.
The result establishes a new continental title for Saudi Arabia’s martial arts program and adds a gold medal to the Kingdom’s delegation tally at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
