JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — The Jeddah Yacht Club and Jeddah EDITION hotel hosted the official Grand Arrivals Launch Party on Wednesday evening, July 22, 2026, marking the start of fight week for “The Comeback” global boxing event. The festivities precede Saturday night’s fight card at the Jeddah Superdome, which will feature a 13-bout lineup including international champions, two world title defenses, and prominent Saudi and Arab contenders.
The launch party welcomed fighters, media, and guests as participating athletes made their formal entrances to signature music. Headlining the main event are former British heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (29–3, 26 KOs) and Albanian contender Kristian Prenga (20–0, 20 KOs). The two heavyweights first met publicly earlier in the week aboard a yacht at the Jeddah Yacht Club before joining Wednesday’s event.
The 13-fight card features three Saudi boxers: Mohammed Alakel faces Malta’s Lydon Chircop, Ziyad Al-Maayouf takes on Mexico’s Frank Mango, and Sultan Almohamed meets Spain’s Efren Besalduch. Additionally, the event hosts two world title defenses: Britain’s Hamzah Sheeraz defends his WBO Super Middleweight title against Germany’s Simon Zachenhuber, while Britain’s Josh Kelly puts his IBF Welterweight title on the line against Ireland’s Caoimhin Agyarko.
Arab contenders on the card include Egypt’s Omar Hikal, facing Spain’s Brian Castellano, and Mohamed Mabrouk, set to fight Colombia’s Bryan Zapata. Following Wednesday’s arrivals, official media proceedings continue Thursday evening with the main press conference at Jeddah Promenade at 9:00 PM local time.
