Saudi Boxers Claim Sweep at “The Comeback” Event in Jeddah

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabian boxers delivered a clean sweep at the Jeddah Superdome during “The Comeback” global fight night, headlined by Anthony Joshua’s knockout victory over Kristian Prenga. All three Saudi fighters featured on the 13-bout card secured decisive victories before a home crowd.

Super featherweight prospect Sultan Almohammed earned a third-round technical knockout victory over Spain’s Efren Besalduch, stopping his opponent after controlling the early exchanges. Lightweight contender Mohammed Alakel followed with a fifth-round TKO against Malta’s Lydon Chircop, displaying sharp tactical combinations to secure the stoppage. Completing the local victories, welterweight Ziyad Al-Maayouf controlled his contest against Frank Mango to earn a unanimous decision victory across all judges’ scorecards.
