JEDDAH: The 2025 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters is set to begin on August 8 at the Green Halls in Jeddah, welcoming 128 top players from the World Snooker Tour.
The prestigious tournament, which runs until August 16, will feature an international field competing for a prize fund exceeding £2 million, making it the second-richest event on the 2025 WST. Sixteen Saudi wild cards will also join the competition, showcasing local talent on a global stage.
Steve Dawson, Chairman of the World Snooker Tour, expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “Our expansion into Saudi Arabia is a huge step forward for snooker and a key element in our strategy to develop our sport globally. We are working closely with our partners in the region to grow the sport at all levels, from elite events to grassroots participation. In the coming years, we hope to see professional players and even tournament winners from Saudi Arabia.
Last year, Judd Trump claimed victory in the inaugural edition of the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters, which was held in Riyadh, after a close 10-9 final against Mark Williams.
