ALKHOBAR — Al Qadsiah Club has made a significant move in its sporting ambitions by appointing world-renowned coach Brendan Rodgers as the head of the men’s first football team. This strategic choice aligns with the club’s long-term vision to enhance its stature in Asian football.
Rodgers, who hails from Northern Ireland, boasts an impressive coaching résumé, having overseen over 300 matches in the Premier League with top-tier clubs. His modern, possession-based attacking philosophy has earned him recognition for developing competitive teams and nurturing young talent.
Statistically, Rodgers guided Liverpool to a historic league runner-up finish, where they scored a record-breaking 101 goals in a single season. Under his leadership, Leicester City won their first-ever FA Cup in 2021, and he also dominated the Scottish league during two spells with Celtic, collecting an impressive 11 major trophies.
Rodgers will be supported by a strong coaching staff, including assistant coaches John Kennedy and Jack Lyons, as well as first-team coaches Alvaro Gomez Rey and Antolin Martín. Elliott Tyebo has also been appointed as the set-piece specialist coach, ensuring a comprehensive approach to team performance.
