Saudi Arabia Formally Designates Multiple Public Fan Zones for the FIFA World Cup 2026

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — The Government of Saudi Arabia has established eight official fan zones across the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, with a ninth venue currently under development in Makkah, to broadcast live matches of the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup™. The designated public spaces feature large-scale screens, activities, and dedicated service areas for tournament spectators.

In the capital city of Riyadh, five distinct areas have been set up to accommodate football fans:

Coca-Cola Fan Zone at JAX District: This venue requires general admission or VIP tickets, offering individual and two-match packages. It features two large LED screens scheduled to broadcast 55 matches, including all fixtures involving the Saudi Arabian national football team. The site includes gaming stations, face painting, and virtual reality experiences.

Kimpton at KAFD: Located within the King Abdullah Financial District, this location broadcasts tournament matches on a large poolside screen.

Eishha at Boulevard City: An interactive festival space configured with multiple giant screens, electronic gaming areas, and entertainment performances.

ROSHN Front: Situated in northern Riyadh, this commercial development has installed several viewing screens adjacent to its existing retail and dining establishments.

Othaim Mall: A commercial venue configured for family-oriented match viewings and accompanying entertainment activities.

In the coastal city of Jeddah, three public viewing areas have been officially opened:

Abadi Al Johara Arena: A dedicated cultural and sports arena featuring screens, dining kiosks, and tiered ticketing options. Ticket categories include Fan Zone Seating, VIP Boxes, Premium Lounge Seats, and Premium Lounge Tables reserved for groups of three or five guests.

Mondial Gate: This site integrates stadium-grade sound systems and screens with outdoor green spaces, an events hall, dedicated PlayStation and PC gaming sections, and interactive sports challenges.

Jeddah Promenade: Positioned along the city’s Corniche adjacent to the Formula 1 track, this open-air venue utilizes large screens and local food trucks overlooking the Red Sea.

Additionally, the Makkah Municipality confirmed it is finalizing a specialized World Cup Fan Zone tent. The facility is designed to feature interactive photo zones, daily sports competitions, and a traditional majlis seating area for football fans.
