Team Falcons dominate Al Qadsiah to claim Overwatch Midseason Championship

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Team Falcons made headlines on Sunday by sweeping Al Qadsiah 4-0 to capture the Overwatch Champions Series’ Midseason Championship. This pivotal victory in the realm of esports unfolded at Riyadh’s prominent gaming venue.

The championship title, part of the estimated $1 million Esports World Cup tournament, came with a significant cash prize of $400,000 and 1,000 EWC club points, highlighting the fierce competition within the esports community.

In an impressive display of skill, Team Falcons triumphed in the title match, winning 2-0 on Lijiang Tower, followed by an astonishing finish of 115.68 meters to 115.67 meters on Esperanca, a 3-1 victory on New Junk City, and a final 1-0 win on Circuit Royal.
 
Twisted Minds secured a respectable third place after defeating T1 3-1. Despite T1’s initial success with a 2-0 win on Lijiang Tower, Twisted Minds rallied back, dominating Circuit Royal 3-0, Aatlis 3-0, and clinching a tense 3-2 victory on Eichenwalde.
 
Earlier in the semifinals, Team Falcons showcased their dominance by overcoming T1 with a 3-1 score. They took Busan 2-1 and Circuit Royal 3-0, while T1 managed to extend the competition with a narrow 3-2 win on Aatlis. Team Falcons ultimately secured their finals spot with a decisive 137.03 meters to 24.19 meters finish on Colosseo.
 
In a closely contested semifinal, Al Qadsiah earned their spot by defeating Twisted Minds 3-2. After Twisted Minds took a 2-1 lead on Lijiang Tower, Al Qadsiah fought back to claim victories on Aatlis 3-2 and Circuit Royal 1-0. The teams also drew 3-3 on Blizzard World before Al Qadsiah completed their comeback with a 3-0 win on New Junk City.
