RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — The Saudi Swimming Federation, in collaboration with the Saudi Life Saving Federation, organized an educational water safety event on the sidelines of the National Swimming Championship at the Ministry of Sport pool in Riyadh to observe World Drowning Prevention Day.
The joint initiative featured experts and volunteers delivering key educational messages on drowning prevention, the critical importance of child supervision near water, pool safety protocols, and immediate emergency response steps. Designed to foster safe aquatic behaviors, the event engaged both competitive participants and spectators attending the national championship.
This campaign supports wider efforts by national sports federations to cultivate a strong culture of water safety across the Kingdom, strengthen public-private community partnerships, and advance the community health objectives outlined in the Quality of Life Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
