Saudi Esports Federation Establishes Partnership for Talent Development

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has finalized a strategic partnership agreement aimed at expanding the talent development infrastructure within the Kingdom’s esports sector. The announcement, released on April 28, 2026, outlines a framework for identifying and training emerging players in competitive digital sports.
The partnership focuses on the implementation of specialized training programs, skill-building workshops, and technical support systems for local competitors. These initiatives are integrated into the National Gaming and Esports Strategy, which seeks to increase the sector’s contribution to the national GDP by SAR 50 billion and create 39,000 job opportunities by 2030.
Under the terms of the agreement, the federation will establish new talent hubs to provide resources for professional development and inclusion within the digital sports community. This collaboration follows the recent conclusion of the Saudi eLeagues and precedes the 2026 Esports World Cup scheduled to begin in July in Riyadh.
Official data from the Saudi Esports Federation indicates that the Kingdom currently hosts over 23.5 million gamers. The new programs are designed to provide a structured pathway from amateur play to professional competition, aligning with national objectives for youth empowerment and technological innovation in the sporting industry.
