Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation and Pakistan Cricket Board Sign MoU to Build Stadium in Jeddah

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — The Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to develop a modern cricket stadium in Jeddah. The bilateral agreement establishes a framework to strengthen cricket infrastructure inside the Kingdom according to international standards.

The formal signing ceremony took place in Riyadh in the presence of Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of the SACF, and Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control and Chairman of the PCB.

Under the terms of the strategic agreement, both sports organizations will collaborate on infrastructure development, facility planning, technical expertise sharing, and the adoption of global operational best practices. The technical cooperation aims to construct a stadium that complies fully with the facility and operational requirements of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Mohammed stated that the partnership represents a strategic step toward expanding investment in the domestic sports sector and building a sustainable future for cricket in Saudi Arabia. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi noted that the agreement lays the foundation for a long-term partnership that creates an integrated environment for hosting international competitions. The initiative is designed to enhance the Kingdom’s readiness to host high-profile international cricket matches and tournaments, supporting the broader development goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
