JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — The 27th Arabian Gulf Cup begins on Wednesday, September 23, marking the first time the city of Jeddah has hosted the regional tournament organized by the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF). The competition runs through October 6, 2026, featuring eight national teams competing across 15 matches.
Fixtures will be staged across two venues in Jeddah: King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (Alinma Bank Stadium) and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium.
The tournament structure divides the eight participating nations into two groups of four:
• Group A: Saudi Arabia (hosts), Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait. Group play commences on September 23.
• Group B: United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain (defending champions), and Yemen. Group play commences on September 24.
Bahrain enters the competition as the reigning champion following their victory in the 26th edition. Official ticket sales for the tournament opened to the public on August 17. The official kickoff times for the group stage fixtures remain subject to final broadcast scheduling and confirmation by the federation.
