RIYADH — Australian newcomer Elvis Smylie completed a historic debut on Saturday night, February 7, 2026, winning the ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh individual title and leading Ripper GC to a dominant team victory at Riyadh Golf Club.
In the league’s first-ever 72-hole regular-season event, the 23-year-old Smylie fired a bogey-free 8-under 64 under the floodlights to finish at 24-under par. The winning score marks the lowest 72-hole total in LIV Golf history. Smylie held off a late surge from Legion XIII Captain Jon Rahm, who carded a 9-under 63 to finish just one stroke back at 23-under. Peter Uihlein of RangeGoats GC secured third place at 21-under par.
The victory earned Smylie a $4 million individual prize and, for the first time in LIV Golf history, 23.03 Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points following the organization’s recent sanctioning. “It is a dream come true,” Smylie stated following the trophy presentation. “I wanted to come out here and make a statement, and I feel like I have done that.”
In the team competition, Ripper GC—captained by Cameron Smith—set a new league record with a cumulative score of 69-under par. The all-Australian side claimed the $3 million team prize, finishing three strokes ahead of Torque GC (-66) and ten ahead of 4Aces GC (-59).
The event concluded the four-day season opener in the capital, with the field of 57 players now traveling to Australia for LIV Golf Adelaide, scheduled to begin on February 12.
