Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation and National Cricket League USA Sign Grassroots Agreement

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) has entered into a formal partnership with the National Cricket League (NCL) USA to develop grassroots cricket programs within the Kingdom. The agreement, announced on April 28, 2026, establishes a framework for technical exchange and domestic talent identification.
Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding, the NCL USA will provide coaching expertise and administrative support for the expansion of youth cricket leagues in Saudi Arabia. This initiative is designed to increase the number of active participants in the sport, which currently includes over 100 registered clubs across the country. The partnership focuses on the implementation of school-level training programs and the establishment of local cricket academies.
The Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation, chaired by Prince Saud bin Mishal Al-Saud, stated that the collaboration aligns with the National Transformation Program’s goals to increase mass participation in sports to 40% by 2030. The NCL USA will facilitate clinics for local coaches and officials to meet international standards as defined by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Statistical data from the SACF indicates a growth in the sport’s infrastructure, including the ongoing development of dedicated cricket grounds in Riyadh and Jeddah. The partnership with the US-based league is intended to leverage international sports management practices to support the domestic growth of the game.
