Inaugural Saudi Women’s Football Awards Celebrate Sport’s Rapid Growth

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – The inaugural Saudi Women’s Football Awards 2026 took place on May 13, 2026, under the Indivisa banner and presented by the ROSHN Group. The ceremony was established to recognize players, executives, and pioneers who have contributed to the development of the female football ecosystem across the Kingdom.

Among the evening’s primary individual honors, Maram Al-Butairi, CEO of Eastern Flames FC, received the Most Influential Woman of the Year award for her leadership in the professional growth of the game. Aalia Alrasheed, head of the women’s football department at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, was presented with the Outstanding Contribution to Women’s Football award. Additionally, Sara Alawaad was named Local Hero of the Year for her grassroots initiative, “Never Too Late,” which promotes broader female sports participation.

On the pitch, Brazilian forward Adriana Silva of Al-Qadsiah claimed the Player of the Year title. Al-Hilal’s Kheira Hamraoui was named International Player of the Year, while Lana Abdulrazak of Al-Ittihad secured the National Team Player of the Year award. The award for Goal of the Year was presented to Al-Nassr’s Sara Al-Hamad.

The event also unveiled the official Ultimate Team of the Year, featuring prominent domestic and international stars from clubs such as Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah. Officials noted that the ceremony highlights the ongoing athletic and structural transformation of women’s sports under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030.
